"A Game of Betrayal"

With this piece, I aimed to depict the fragile interplay between truth and deception. The eyes, carved as though trapped within the wooden grid, are both watchful and vulnerable, raising the question: do they observe, or are they being observed? The gold accents evoke something precious yet ephemeral, a façade concealing deeper uncertainties. The raw texture of the wood anchors the work, contrasting with the illusion of the gleaming gilded details. Is it a reflection on trust and perception or a visual meditation on the space between reality and imagination?
