Commissioned Monumental Artwork, with small house and birds by Maarten Donders

Steel structure with ceramic forms and bronze objects. height 6.25 mt.

 

Monumental Work Commission, Eindhoven

The artwork features two steel pillars resembling thorns. One pillar holds small ceramic houses, while the other supports bronze birds, symbolizing a contrast between grounded elements and freedom. The interplay between the two pillars invites viewers to reflect on themes of shelter and liberation, rootedness and aspiration.
